As a nonprofit homebuilder, Centro Campesino has built and sold 500 homes in Heritage Village, Centro Villas, Hacienda West and Florida City Village. Our homes are characterized by energy efficiency, durability and gracious designs which builds pride in homeownership.  We help prospective homebuyers qualify for subsidized mortgages and down payment assistance programs, which make homeownership accessible for low to moderate income households.

Florida City Village Phase VIII

Centro Campesino is currently in the pre-development stage of building thirteen (13) units of permanent affordable family homes, 1200 square feet, 3/2 with a carport to serve first-time homebuyers for low-to-moderate income families, specifically farmworkers.  This will comprise the final phase of Florida City Village.

Florida City Village Phase VII

Centro Campesino has developed ten 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 1650 square feet single family homes, which comprise one of the phase of Florida City Village.  The owner-occupied development currently has 74 homes, and of these only one has entered foreclosure since 2002.

Education Center Expansion

Through the generous support of Miami-Dade County’s General Obligation Bond Program, Centro Campesino has expanded the Education Center to increase our capacity to serve more children of very low-income. We built two new classrooms, additional restrooms for boys and girls, a full-service kitchen, indoor area for physical education, computer lab and office/storage facilities.  The expansion enabled Centro Campesino to provide additional children (ages 5-15) free tutorial and enrichment-based after school and summer camp services.
